In response to requests from iTEC centres across the Southeast Asian region, we ran our first Quality Assurance and Administration Training session in Singapore on the 14th September.
The event was attended by 26 people representing 15 approved iTEC centres. Two attendees flew in from Sarawak, East Malaysia (Borneo) and two from a new iTEC centre opening in Jahor Bahru, Malaysia. There were Principals, Head of Departments, Administrators and Trainers, all sharing a common objective – to learn and upskill in the quality assurance and administration of iTEC qualifications.
Our iTEC Principal Examiner for the region, Amanda Malden-Browne, was the main speaker, and the delegates were enthusiastic and engaged, participating in useful discussions. Centre staff in the region are actively seeking ways to ensure high standards are maintained in Singapore and Malaysia, and so this event was useful for them to gather information and speak to other centres.
Our aim is to run these types of events on a yearly basis in the future, to continue the high standards of quality assurance across the business.
