Hairdressing Apprenticeship- VTCT Level 2 Diploma for Hair Professionals (Hairdressing)
Today we are opening up Advent Calendar Day 19, and we are diving back into hairdressing, this time looking at the Hair Professionals (Hairdressing) apprenticeship.
A Hairdressing apprenticeship is a great way to gain entry into the industry that allows an apprentice to learn and earn at the same time.
An apprenticeship is a combination of paid work and paid training in your chosen career. The paid work is called ‘on-the-job’ and the paid training is called ‘off-the-job’.
If you’re just starting to think about opting for the apprenticeship route, you probably have a lot of questions. We’ve provided some additional information to guide you, available on the information sheet which you can download on the left.
Apprenticeships are offered exclusively through VTCT; if you are interested in finding out more about VTCT apprenticeships, click here to see the Apprenticeships section.
It’s important to know that depending on where you live, the availability and way apprenticeships are run does differ. In order to make sure you’re getting the information that is relevant to you based on your location, visit our Apprentice page on the VTCT website and select your region on the map.
If you are an iTEC training provider and are interested in delivering Apprenticeship qualifications, it couldn’t be easier to be able to do so. Contact your Business Development Manager to find out how to become dual approved.
The VTCT Level 2 Diploma for Hair Professionals (Hairdressing) is one of two Professional Apprenticeship Standards for hair that VTCT offer. Make sure you keep following our advent calendar to learn about the Hair Professional Standard.
